एउटा विद्यालयका 50 जना विद्यार्थीहरूलाई साधारण धार वा प्राविधिक धारमध्ये कुन धार अध्ययन गर्न रुची छ भनी सोधिएको सर्वेक्षणबाट प्राप्त विवरण तल उल्लेख गरिएको छ ।

The details obtained from a survey of 50 students of a school asking them about their further interests in study general stream or technical stream is given below.

34 जनाले साधारण धार अध्ययन गर्न मन पराउँछन् ।

34 students liked to study general stream.

24 जनाले प्राविधिक धार अध्ययन गर्न मन पराउँछन् ।

24 students liked to study technical stream.

9 जनाले यी दुवै धार अध्ययन गर्न मन पराउँछन् ।

9 students liked to study both the streams.

a) साधारण धार र प्राविधिक धार अध्ययन गर्न मन पराउने विद्यार्थीहरूको समूहहरूलाई क्रमश : G र T मानी दुवै धार अध्ययन गर्न मन पराउने विद्यार्थीहरूको समूहलाई गणनात्मकता संकेतमा लेख्नुहोस् ।
Write the cardinality of the set of students who liked both of the streams by letting the sets of students who like general stream and technical stream by G and T respectively.

b) माथिको तथ्यलाई भेनचित्रमा प्रस्तुत गर्नुहोस् ।
Present the above information in a Venn diagram.

c) भेनचित्रको प्रयोग गरी यीमध्ये कुनै पनि धार मन नपराउने विद्यार्थीको संख्या पत्ता लगाउनुहोस् ।
Find the number of students who did not like any of the streams using Venn diagram.

d) यदि दुवै धार अध्ययन गर्नेको सङ्ख्या 24 भएमा भेनचित्रको अवस्थामा परिवर्तन हुन्छ ? कारण दिनुहोस् ।
If 24 students liked to study both the streams, the condition of Venn diagram is changed? Give reason.

गीताले एउटा बैंकमा रु 75,000 वार्षिक 8% व्याजदरमा र रीताले सोही बैंकमा समान रकम वार्षिक 10% व्याजदरमा जम्मा गरेछन् । गीताले अर्धवार्षिक चक्रीय व्याज र रीताले वार्षिक चक्रीय व्याज प्राप्त गर्छिन् ।

Gita deposited Rs. 75,000 at the rate of interest 8% p.a. in a bank and Rita also deposited the same amount at the rate of interest 10% p.a. in the same bank. Gita receives semiannually compound interest and Rita receives annually compound interest.

a) अर्धवार्षिक चक्रीय व्याज निकाल्ने सूत्र लेख्नुहोस् ।
Write the formula for finding semiannually compound interest.

b) 2 वर्षमा गीताले कति व्याज प्राप्त गर्छिन् ? पत्ता लगाउनुहोस् ।
How much interest does Gita receive in 2 years? Find it.

c) 2 वर्षको अवधिमा कुन व्यक्तिले वढि लाभ पाएछन् ? कारण सहित रकम गणना गर्नुहोस् ।
Which person received more gain in 2 years? Calculate the amount with reason.

एउटा मेसिनको हालको मूल्य रु. 50,000 छ । प्रतिवर्ष 8% का दरले यसको मूल्यमा हास आउँछ ।

The present price of a machine is Rs. 50,000. The price of machine is depreciated at 8% per annum.

a) वार्षिक चक्रीय हास भन्नाले के वुभ्नुहुन्छ ? लेख्नुहोस् ।
What do you mean by annual compound depreciation? Write it.

b) 2 वर्षपछि उक्त मेसिनको मूल्य कति हुन्छ ? पत्ता लगाउनुहोस् ।
What will be the price of the machine after 2 years? Find it.

c) यदि उक्त मेसिनको मूल्य पहिलो वर्ष 8% र दोस्रो वर्ष 10% का दरले घटेको भए उक्त मेसिनको मूल्यमा कति रकमले गिरावट आउँथ्यो ? पत्ता लगाउनुहोस् ।
If the price of the machine depreciates by 8% in the first year and 10% in the second year, what would be the depreciated price of the machine? Find it.

चेतनाथले अध्ययनका लागि अमेरिका जान नेपाली रुपैयाँ 10,00,000 वरावरको अमेरिकन डलर साटेछन् । उक्त दिनको मुद्रा विनिमय दरअनुसार यु एस. डलर 1 को खरिद दर र विकीदार क्रमश: ने.रु. 132.84 र ने.रु. 133.55 थियो ।

Chetnath exchanged some American dollar for NRs. 10,00,000 to go to America for the study. On that day, the buying rate and selling rate of US Dollar ($) 1 were NRs. 132.84 and NRs. 133.55 respectively.

a) उनले ने.रु. 10,00,000 को कति अमेरिकन डलर साट्न सक्छन् ? पत्ता लगाउनुहोस् ।
How many American dollars can he exchange with NRs. 10,00,000? Find it.

b) पारिवारिक समस्याका कारण उनी अमेरिका जान नसकेकोले एक हप्तापछि आफूसँग भएको अमेरिकन डलरलाई नेपाली रुपैयाँमा साट्न गए जुन दिन नेपाली मुद्रामा 5% ले अवमूल्यन भएको थियो । उनले उक्त दिन कति नेपाली रुपैयाँ पाउँछन् ? पत्ता लगाउनुहोस् ।
Due to his family problem, he could not go to America and after a week he exchanged the dollars into Nepalese rupees. On that day Nepalese currency was devaluated by 5%, how much Nepalese rupees did he get on that day? Find it.

c) उक्त नेपाली रुपैयाँ सटहीमा उनलाई लाभ अथवा हानी हुनाको कारण लेख्नुहोस् ।
Write the reason of gain or loss in exchanging Nepalese rupees?

एउटा वर्गाकार आधार भएको पिरामिडको आयतन 1728 घन से.मि. र ठाडो उचाइ 9 से.मि. छन् ।

The volume of a square based pyramid is 1728 cu. cm and its vertical height is 9 cm.

a) वर्गाकार आधार भएको पिरामिडको आयतन पत्ता लगाउने सूत्र लेख्नुहोस् ।
Write the formula to find the volume of the square based pyramid.

b) उक्त पिरामिडको त्रिभुजाकार सतहहरूको क्षेत्रफल पत्ता लगाउनुहोस् ।
Find the area of triangular surfaces of the pyramid.

c) उक्त पिरामिडको आधारको क्षेत्रफल र त्रिभुजाकार सतहहरूको क्षेत्रफलविच तुलना गर्नुहोस् ।
Compare the area of the base and the area of the triangular surfaces of the pyramid.

चित्रमा दिइएको वेलना माथि सोली मिलेर वनेको धातुको वस्तु सजावटका लागि राखिएको छ ।

In the figure, the metallic object made up of a cylinder and a cone is designed for decoration.

a) दिइएको संयुक्त ठोस वस्तुमा कति ओटा वाहिरी सतहहरू छन् ? लेख्नुहोस् ।
How many external surfaces are there in the given combined solid? Write it.

b) सोली भागको उचाइ पत्ता लगाउनुहोस् ।
Find the height of the conical part.

c) यदि 1 घन से.मि.धातुको मूल्य रु 10 भए उक्त ठोस धातुको जम्मा मूल्य पत्ता लगाउनुहोस् ।
If the cost of 1 cubic cm metal is Rs. 10, find the total cost of the metallic solid.

एउटा कोठाको लम्बाइ, चौडाइ र उचाइ क्रमश 7 मिटर, 6 मिटर र 4 मिटर छ । उक्त कोठामा प्रत्येकको \((1.5 \times 1)\) वर्गमिटर क्षेत्रफल भाएका दुईथाता झ्यालहरू र एउटा 1.5 वर्गमिटर क्षेत्रफल भाएको ढोका छन् ।

The length, breadth and height of a room are 7 meter, 6 meter and 4 meter respectively. In that room there are two windows having area \((1.5 \times 1)\) square meter each and a door with area 1.5 square meter.

a) झ्यानलढोका बाहेक उक्त कोठाको चारैभित्तामा प्रति वर्ग मिटर रु. 50 का दरमा प्लाष्टर गर्दा कति खर्च लाग्छ ? पत्ता लगाउनुहोस् ।
How much will it cost to plaster on the four walls of the room excluding windows and door at the rate of Rs. 50 per square meter? Find it.

b) उक्त कोठाको भुईमा कार्पेट विछ्याउनुदा रु. 900 खर्च लागेछ । प्रति वर्ग मिटर कार्पेट विछ्याउन ज्याला रु. 25 तोक्दा उपयुक्त हुन्छ ? कारण दिनुहोस् ।
When carpet is laid on the floor of the room, Rs. 900 has been spent. Does the wage of Rs. 25 per square meter of the carpet is suitable? Give reason.

अरुण उपत्यका क्षेत्रमा 650 भन्दा वढी प्रजानीका चराहरू पाइन्छन् । मानौ यीमध्ये कनै 10 प्रजानीका चराहरूको जम्मा सङ्ख्या 2,04,600 रहेछ । जहाँ एकभन्दा अर्को प्रजातीका चराहरूको सङ्ख्या दोव्वर छन् ।

More than 650 species of birds are found in Arun Valley. Let among them, the total number of birds of 10 species is 2,04,600 where one species is double of the former species.

a) माथिको सन्दर्भ कुन अनुक्रममा उल्लेख गरिएको छ ? लेख्नुहोस् ।
To which sequence of the given context is related with? Write it.

b) सवैभन्दा कम पहिलो प्रजानीका चराहरूको सङ्ख्या पत्ता लगाउनुहोस् ।
Find the number of birds of minimum first species.

c) चौथो प्रजातीका चराहरूको सङ्ख्या दोस्रो प्रजातीका चराहरूका सङ्ख्याको कति गुणा हुन्छ ? गणना गर्नुहोस् ।
How many times is the number of fourth species of the birds than that of second species? Calculate it.

दुईओटा क्रमागत धनात्मक सङ्ख्याहरूको गुणनफल 420 छ ।

The product of two consecutive positive numbers is 420.

a) उक्त सङ्ख्याहरू कुन कुन हुन् ? पत्ता लगाउनुहोस् ।
What are the numbers? Find it.

b) उक्त सङ्ख्याहरूबाट कति घटाउँदा गुणनफल 182 हुन्छ ? पत्ता लगाउनुहोस् ।
What should be subtracted from the numbers to get their product as 182? Find it.

a) \(\left(\frac{x}{y}\right)^0\) को मान कति हुन्छ? लेख्नुहोस् ।
What is the value of \(\left(\frac{x}{y}\right)^0\)? Write it.

b) चित्रमा. दुईओटा वृत्तहरू बिन्दु P र R मा प्रतिच्छेदित भएका छन् । ठूलो वृत्तको परिधिमा रहेका बिन्दु O सानो वृत्तको केन्द्रबिन्दु पनि हो ।
In the figure, two circles are intersected at the points P and R. O is a point on the circumference of the bigger circle and also the center of the smaller circle.

प्रमाणित गर्नुहोस् (Prove that) : \(\angle QPO = \angle OSR\)

एउटै आधार MN र उही समामान्तर रेखाहरू MN र PQ बिचमा रहेका त्रिभुज PMN र समानान्तर चतुर्भुज MNQR छन् ।

Triangle PMN and parallelogram MNQR are on the same base MN and between the same parallel lines MN and PQ.

a) एउटै आधार र उही समानान्तर रेखाहरूविच रहेका त्रिभुजहरूको क्षेत्रफलविचको सम्बन्ध लेख्नुहोस् ।
Write the relationship between the area of triangles standing on the same base and between the same parallel lines.

b) यदि \(\triangle QRN\) को क्षेत्रफल 25 वर्ग से. मि. भए \(\triangle PMN\) को क्षेत्रफल पत्ता लगाउनुहोस् ।
If the area of \(\triangle QRN\) is 25 square cm, find the area of \(\triangle PMN\).

c) त्रिभुज PMN को आधार समानान्तर चतुर्भुज MNQR को आधारभन्दा दोव्वर भएको भए त्रिभुज र समानान्तर चतुर्भुजको क्षेत्रफलहरू वीचको सम्बन्ध के हुन्थ्यो ? तर्क दिनुहोस् ।
What would be the relation between the areas of triangle and parallelogram if the base of the triangle was double of the base of the parallelogram? Give logic.

a) समानान्तर चतुर्भुज ABCD को रचना गर्नुहोस् जसमा \(AB = 6\) से.मि., \(\angle CAB = 45°\) र \(AC = 5\) से.मि. छन् । उक्त समानान्तर चतुर्भुजको क्षेत्रफलसँग बराबर हुने र एउटा भुजा 6.5 से.मि. भएको एउटा त्रिभुजको पनि रचना गर्नुहोस् ।
Construct a parallelogram ABCD, in which \(AB = 6\) cm, \(\angle CAB = 45^\circ\) and \(AC = 5\) cm. Also, construct a triangle having one side 6.5 cm, whose area is equal to the area of the parallelogram.

b) सरल गर्नुहोस् (Simplify): \(\frac{3x+1}{9x^2+3x+1} + \frac{3x-1}{9x^2-3x+1} + \frac{2}{81x^4+9x^2+1}\)

c) वर्ग पूरा गरी हल गर्नुहोस् (Solve by completing square): \(x^2 - 5x + 6 = 0\)

चित्रमा, केन्द्रबिन्दु O भएको वृत्तमा \(\angle ADB = 30°\) छ ।

In the figure, O is the center of the circle with \(\angle ADB = 30^\circ\).

a) चाप AB मा वनेको एउटा परिधि कोणको नाम लेख्नुहोस् ।
Write the name of an inscribed angle subtended by arc AB.

b) \(\angle AOB\) को मान पत्ता लगाउनुहोस् ।
Find the value of \(\angle AOB\).

c) कम्तिमा 3 से.मि. अर्धव्यास भएका दुईवटा वृत्तहरू वनाई एउटै चापमा आधारित परिधि कोणहरू वरावर हुन्छन् भनी प्रयोगात्मक विधिबाट परीक्षण गर्नुहोस् ।
Verify experimentally that the inscribed angles standing on the same arc are equal by making two circles of radii not less than 3 cm.

एउटा वृत्ताकार मैदानको केन्द्रमा गाडिएको खम्बाको जमिनमाथिको उचाइ 14 फिट र मैदानको परिधि 88 फिट छ । मैदानको परिधिको दुई विपरीत बिन्दुबाट खम्बाको टुप्पोसम्म दुईओटा डोरीले तन्किने गरी बाँधिएको छ ।

A pole of height 14 ft above the ground level is fixed at the center of a circular ground and circumference of the ground is 88 ft. Two ropes are tied at the top of the pole with two points of the circumference from the opposite direction.

a) तलबाट माथि कुनै वस्तु हेर्दा दृष्टिरेखाले क्षितिजसँग वनाउने कोणलाई के भनिन्छ ? लेख्नुहोस् ।
What is the angle called made by the line of sight with the horizon when an object of the upper level is observed from the lower level? Write it.

b) उक्त मैदानको अर्धव्यास पत्ता लगाउनुहोस् ।
Find the radius of the ground.

c) डोरीले जमिनको सतहसँग वनाउने कोण पत्ता लगाउनुहोस् ।
Find the angle formed by the rope with the ground.

d) उक्त डोरीलाई राम्रोसँग गाठो पारी तन्काउन प्रत्येकलाई थप 5 फिट आवश्यक पर्छ । के 45 फिट लामो डोरीले प्रयाप्त हुन्छ ? तर्क दिनुहोस् ।
Additional 5 ft for each rope is required to tight it with proper knot. Is a rope of 45 feet length sufficient? Give logic.

दिइएको तथ्याङ्कको मध्यक 41 छ । जहाँ, (40 – 50) को वर्गान्तरको बारम्बारता \(a\) छ ।

The mean of the given data is 41. Where \(a\) is the frequency of class interval (40 – 50).

a) अविच्छिन्न श्रेणीको मध्यक पत्ता लगाउने सूत्र लेख्नुहोस् ।
Write the formula to calculate mean of a continuous series.

b) दिएको तथ्याङ्कबाट \(a\) को मान पत्ता लगाउनुहोस् ।
Find the value of \(a\) from the given data.

c) पहिलो चतुर्थांशको वर्गान्तर कति हुन्छ ? पत्ता लगाउनुहोस् ।
What is the class interval of the first quartile? Find it.

d) पासाङले 'पहिलो चतुर्थांशको वर्गान्तर र रीतको वर्गान्तर एउटै हुन्छ' भने । उनको कथनलाई पुष्टि गर्नुहोस् । Pasang said, 'First quartile class and modal class are same.' Justify his statement.

एउटा वाकसमा 4 वटा सेता र 8 वटा काला उस्तै र उत्रै वलहरू छन् । दुईवटा वलहरू एकपछि अर्को गरी पुन : राखेर भिकिएका छन् ।

A box contains 4 white and 8 black balls of same shape and size. Two balls are drawn at random one after another with replacement.

a) यदि A र B दुईओटा अनाश्रित घटनाहरू भए सम्भाव्यताको गुणन सिद्धान्त लेख्नुहोस् ।
If A and B are two independent events, write the multiplication law of probability.

b) सवै सम्भावित परिणामहरूको सम्भाव्यतालाई वृक्षचित्रमा देखाउनुहोस् ।
Show the probability of all the possible outcomes in a tree diagram.

c) दुवै बल उही रङका पर्ने सम्भाव्यता पत्ता लगाउनुहोस् ।
Find the probability of getting both balls of same colour.

d) के एकै रङका पर्ने र फरक-फरक रङका पर्ने सम्भाव्यता तुलना गर्न मिल्छ ? कारण लेख्नुहोस् ।
Is the probability of getting same coloured balls and different coloured balls comparable? Give reason.
