एउटा विद्यालयको 120 जना विद्यार्थीहरूमा गरिएको सर्वेक्षणमा फुटबल मात्र र भलिबल मात्र खेल्न मन पराउने विद्यार्थीहरूको अनुपात 2:1 पाइयो । साथै 20 जना विद्यार्थीहरू फुटबल र भलिबल दुवै खेल खेल्न मन पराउने र 10 जना यी दुवैमध्ये कुनै पनि खेल खेल्न मन नपराउने पाइयो ।

In a survey conducted among 120 students of a school, the ratio of the students who liked to play football only and volleyball only was found to be 2:1. Also there were 20 students who liked to play both football and volleyball and 10 students who did not like any of these two games.

(a) यदि फुटबल र भलिबल खेल्न मन पराउने विद्यार्थीहरूको समूह क्रमशः F र V छन् भने दुवै खेल खेल्न मन पराउने विद्यार्थीहरूको समूहलाई गणनात्मकता सङ्केतमा लेख्नुहोस् ।

If F and V are the sets of students who like to play football and volleyball respectively, write the set of students who like to play both games in cardinality natation.

(b) दिइएको जानकारीलाई भेनचित्रमा प्रस्तुत गर्नुहोस् ।

Present the given information in a Venn-diagram.

(c) फुटबल खेल्न मन पराउने विद्यार्थीहरूको सङ्ख्या पत्ता लगाउनुहोस् ।

Find the number of students who like to play football.

(d) भलिबल खेल्न मन पराउने विद्यार्थी सङ्ख्या फुटबल खेल्न मन पराउने विद्यार्थी सङ्ख्याभन्दा कति प्रतिशतले बढी वा कम छ ? तुलना गर्नुहोस् ।

By what percentage the number of students who like to play volleyball is more or less than the number of students who like to play football? Compare it.

कुनै रकमको 10% वार्षिक चक्रीय व्याजदरमा 1 वर्ष र 2 वर्षको वार्षिक चक्रीय मिश्रधनहरूको फरक रु.47,250 छ ।

The difference between annual compound amounts of a sum of money in 1 year and 2 years at the rate of 10% annual compound interest is Rs.47,250.

(a) उक्त रकम पत्ता लगाउनुहोस् ।

Find the sum.

(b) सोही धनको पहिलो वर्षको त्रैमासिक चक्रीय व्याज अर्धवार्षिक चक्रीय व्याजभन्दा कतिले बढी हुन्छ ? पत्ता लगाउनुहोस् ।

By how much the quarterly compound interest is more than the semi-annual compound interest of the same sum in one year? Find it.

एउटा मेसिनको हालको मूल्य रु. 50,000 छ । त्यसको मूल्य वार्षिक 20% का दरले चक्रीय ह्रास हुँदै जान्छ ।

The current price of a machine is Rs. 50,000. Its price depreciates at the rate of 20% annually.

(a) चक्रीय ह्रासलाई परिभाषित गर्नुहोस् ।

Define compound depreciation.

(b) पहिलो वर्षमा उक्त मेसिनको मूल्य कतिले घटेछ ? पत्ता लगाउनुहोस् ।

How much price of the machine is depreciated in first year? Find it.

(c) के 3 वर्षपछि उक्त मेसिन हालको मूल्यको आधा मूल्यमा किन्न सकिएला ? गणना गरी तर्क दिनुहोस् ।

Will it be possible to buy that machine at half of its current price after 3 years? Give logic with calculation.

नेपाल राष्ट्र बैङ्कको मिति 11/25/2025 को मुद्रा विनिमय दरअनुसार 1 अमेरिकी डलरको खरिददर र विक्रीदर क्रमशः ने.रु.142.48 र ने.रु.143.08 थियो ।

According to the exchange rate of Nepal Rastra Bank on the date of 11/25/2025, the buying rate and selling rate of 1 US dollar were NRs. 142.48 and NRs.143.08 respectively.

(a) अमेरिकी डलर नेपाली रुपैयामा साट्दा खरिददर र विक्रीदरमध्ये कुन प्रयोग हुन्छ ? लेख्नुहोस् ।

Among the buying rate and selling rate, which one is used while exchanging US dollar into Nepalese rupees? Write it.

(b) एकजना अमेरिकन पर्यटकले 3,000 डलर साट्दा कति नेपाली रुपैयाँ पाउन सक्छन् ? पत्ता लगाउनुहोस् ।

How many Nepalese rupees can an American tourist get while exchanging 3,000 dollars? Find it.

(c) नेपाली मुद्रामा 0.5% अवमूल्यनपछिको खरिददर र विक्रीदर तुलना गर्नुहोस् ।

Compare the buying rate and selling rate after 0.5% devaluation in Nepali currency.

(d) अवमूल्यनपछि 3,000 अमेरिकन डलर नेपाली रुपैयाँमा साट्दा पर्यटकलाई कति रकम फाइदा हुन्छ ? पत्ता लगाउनुहोस् ।

How much will the tourist gain while exchanging the 3,000 American dollars into Nepalese rupees after devaluation? Find it.

एउटा वर्गाकार आधार भएको पिरामिडको आयतन 960 घन से.मी. र ठाडो उचाइ 5 से.मी. छन् ।

The volume of a square based pyramid is 960 cubic cm. and its vertical height is 5 cm.

(a) वर्गाकार आधार भएको पिरामिडको आयतन पत्ता लगाउने सूत्र \(V = \frac{1}{3}a^2h\) मा \(a\) ले के जनाउँछ ? लेख्नुहोस् ।

What does \(a\) denote in the formula \(V = \frac{1}{3}a^2h\), to find the volume of the square based pyramid? Write it.

(b) उक्त पिरामिडको पूरा सतहको क्षेत्रफल कति हुन्छ ? पत्ता लगाउनुहोस् ।

What is the total surface area of the pyramid? Find it.

(c) उक्त पिरामिडको आधारको क्षेत्रफल र एउटा त्रिभुजाकार सतहको क्षेत्रफल तुलना गर्नुहोस् ।

Compare the area of base and the area of a triangular surface of the pyramid.

चित्रमा उही आधार भएको एउटा बेलना र अर्धगोला मिली एउटा ठोस वस्तु बनेको छ । उक्त ठोस वस्तुको आधारको व्यास 14 से.मी. र पूरा उचाइ 27 से.मी. छन् ।

In the figure, a solid object is formed with the combination of a cylinder and a hemi-sphere having the same base. The diameter of the base of the solid object is 14 cm and its total height is 27 cm.

(a) दिइएको ठोस वस्तुमा जम्मा कतिओटा बाहिरी सतहहरू छन्, लेख्नुहोस् ।

How many total external surfaces are there in the given solid object? Write it.

(b) ठोस वस्तुको बेलनाकार भागको उचाइ पत्ता लगाउनुहोस् ।

Find the height of the cylindrical part of the solid object.

(c) ठोस वस्तुको आयतन पत्ता लगाउनुहोस् ।

Find the volume of the solid object.

एक जना व्यक्तिको घरमा मोटर पार्किङ गर्न ठाउँ 16 मिटर लम्बाइ र 10 मिटर चौडाइको छ । उक्त पार्किङमा 25 से.मी. लम्बाइ भएका वर्गाकार ढुङ्गाहरू बिछ्याएको छ । एउटा ढुङ्गाको मूल्य रु.20 परेको रहेछ ।

The dimension of motor parking place of a house owner is 16 m long and 10 m broad. Square shaped stones having 25 cm long are laid on the parking. The price of each stone is Rs.20.

(a) उक्त पार्किङमा जम्मा कतिओटा ढुङ्गाहरू बिछ्याइएको रहेछ ? पत्ता लगाउनुहोस् ।

How many total stones are laid on the parking? Find it.

(b) उक्त पार्किङमा ढुङ्गाहरू बिछ्याउने काममा 2 दिन 3 जना कामदारहरूले काम गरेका रहेछन् । प्रत्येक कामदारले दैनिक ज्याला वापत रु.1,800 लिएको रहेछ । उक्त पार्किङमा ढुङ्गा बिछ्याउन लाग्ने जम्मा खर्चको लागत अनुमान गर्नुहोस् ।

To lay down stones on the parking, 3 workers worked for 2 days. Every worker received Rs.1,800 as daily wages. Estimate the total cost of laying stones on the parking.

एउटा समानान्तरीय श्रेणीको पहिलो पद 12 र यसको पहिलो पाँचओटा पदहरूको योगफल 50 छ ।

The first term of an arithmetic series is 12 and the sum of its first five terms is 50.

(a) पहिलो पद \(a\) र समान अन्तर \(d\) भएको समानान्तरीय श्रेणीको पहिलो \(n\) ओटा पदहरूको योगफल कति हुन्छ ? लेख्नुहोस् ।

What is the sum of first \(n\) terms of an arithmetic series having first term \(a\) and common difference \(d\)? Write it.

(b) सो श्रेणीको समान अन्तर पत्ता लगाउनुहोस् ।

Find the common difference of the series.

(c) यदि श्रेणीको पहिलो तीन पदहरूमध्ये दोस्रो र तेस्रो पदहरूवाट क्रमशः 5 र 7 घटाउँदा ती पदहरूले ज्यामितीय श्रेणी बन्छ । कारणसहित सिद्ध गर्नुहोस् ।

Out of first three terms of the series, if 5 and 7 are subtracted from the second and third terms respectively, the terms form a geometric series. Verify with reason.

वि.सं. 2075 मा बाबुको उमेर उसको छोराको उमेरको 6 गुणा थियो र वि.सं. 2080 मा तिनीहरूको उमेरको सङ्ख्यात्मक गुणनफल 350 थियो ।

In 2075 B.S. the age of a father was 6 times the age of his son and in 2080 B.S. the numerical product of their ages was 350.

(a) वर्ग समीकरणलाई परिभाषित गर्नुहोस् ।

Define quadratic equation.

(b) दिइएको अवस्थाअनुसार एउटा वर्ग समीकरण बनाउनुहोस् ।

Make a quadratic equation according to the given condition.

(c) छोरा कुन सालमा जन्मेको थियो ? पत्ता लगाउनुहोस् ।

In which year the son was born? Find it.

(a) सरल गर्नुहोस् । (Simplify): \(\frac{1}{x-y} - \frac{x+y}{x^2-y^2}\)

(b) हल गर्नुहोस् । (Solve): \(25^x - 6 \times 5^{x+1} + 125 = 0\)

दिइएको चित्रमा PQRS एउटा चतुर्भुज हो । जसको भुजा QR लाई विन्दु T सम्म लम्ब्याइएको छ । PR∥ST छ ।

In the given figure, PQRS is a quadrilateral whose side QR is produced to the point T and PR∥ST.

(a) \(\triangle PRS\) र \(\triangle PRT\) को क्षेत्रफलविचको सम्बन्ध लेख्नुहोस् ।

Write the relation of the areas of \(\triangle PRS\) and \(\triangle PRT\).

(b) \(\triangle PQT\) र चतुर्भुज PQRS को क्षेत्रफल बराबर हुन्छ भनी प्रमाणित गर्नुहोस् ।

Prove that the areas of \(\triangle PQT\) and quadrilateral PQRS are equal in area.

(c) प्रमाणित गर्नुहोस् : \(\triangle POS\) को क्षेत्रफल = \(\triangle ROT\) को क्षेत्रफल

Prove that: Area of \(\triangle POS\) = Area of \(\triangle ROT\).

दिइएको चित्रमा O वृत्तको केन्द्रविन्दु र KLMN एउटा चक्रीय चतुर्भुज हो ।

In the given figure, O is centre of circle and KLMN is a cyclic quadrilateral.

(a) \(\angle LOM\) र \(\angle LNM\) विचको सम्बन्ध लेख्नुहोस् ।

Write the relation between \(\angle LOM\) and \(\angle LNM\).

(b) यदि KL∥NM छ भने प्रमाणित गर्नुहोस् : KN = LM.

If KL∥NM, Prove that: KN = LM.

(c) दिइएको चित्रमा \(\angle KLM\) र \(\angle MNK\) विचको सम्बन्धलाई प्रयोगात्मक रूपमा परीक्षण गर्नुहोस् । (कम्तीमा 3 से.मी. अर्धव्यास भएका दुईओटा वृत्तहरू अनिवार्य छन् ।)

Verify experimentally the relation between \(\angle KLM\) and \(\angle MNK\) in the given figure. (Two circles with radii at least 3 cm are necessary)

त्रिभुज ABC मा AB = 4.5 से.मी., BC = 5.5 से.मी. र \(\angle ABC = 75^\circ\) दिइएका छन् ।

In triangle ABC, AB = 4.5 cm, BC = 5.5 cm and \(\angle ABC = 75^\circ\) are given.

(a) माथिको नापका आधारमा \(\triangle ABC\) को रचना गर्नुहोस् र \(\triangle ABC\) को क्षेत्रफलसँग बराबर हुनेगरी \(\angle EFC = 60^\circ\) भएको समानान्तर चतुर्भुज FCDE को रचना पनि गर्नुहोस् ।

Construct a \(\triangle ABC\) on the basis of the above measurements and construct a parallelogram FCDE equal in area to \(\triangle ABC\) with \(\angle EFC = 60^\circ\).

(b) कुन अवस्थामा उही समानान्तर रेखाहरूबिच रहेका त्रिभुज र समानान्तर चतुर्भुजको क्षेत्रफल बराबर हुन्छ ? लेख्नुहोस् ।

In which condition, the areas of a triangle and a parallelogram between same parallel lines are equal? Write it.

एकजना मानिसले कुनै घरको छानोलाई त्यसको फेदबाट 10 मिटर पर गएर अवलोकन गर्दा उन्नतांश कोण \(60^\circ\) पाउँछ ।

A man observes the roof of a house walking 10 m. away from the foot of the house and finds the angle of elevation to be \(60^\circ\).

(a) उन्नतांश कोण भनेको के हो ? लेख्नुहोस् ।

What is the angle of elevation? Write it.

(b) दिइएको सन्दर्भअनुसारको चित्र बनाउनुहोस् ।

Make a diagram according to the given context.

(c) घरको उचाइ पत्ता लगाउनुहोस् ।

Find the height of the house.

(d) सो स्थानबाट थप 20 मिटर टाढा गएर हेर्दा घरको छानाको उन्नतांश कोण कति होला ? पत्ता लगाउनुहोस् ।

What will be the angle of elevation of the roof of the house if it is observed after walking 20 m far away from that place? Find it.

तल दिइएको तालिकामा एउटा समुदायमा भएका 25 जना मानिसहरूको उमेर (वर्षमा) दिइएको छ ।

In the table below, the ages (in years) of 25 people of a community is given.

(a) वर्गीकृत तथ्याङ्कको रीत पत्ता लगाउने सूत्र लेख्नुहोस् ।

Write the formula to find the mode of a continuous data.

(b) माथि दिइएको तथ्याङ्कबाट रीत मान पत्ता लगाउनुहोस् ।

Find the modal value from the above given data.

(c) माथि दिइएको तथ्याङ्कबाट मधिका गणना गर्नुहोस् ।

Calculate the median from the above given data.

(d) मधिका पर्ने श्रेणीभन्दा माथि र तल रहेका जम्मा मानिसहरूको सङ्ख्यालाई तुलना गर्नुहोस् ।

Compare the total number of people whose ages are above and below than the median class.

एउटा भोलामा उस्तै र उत्रै 2 ओटा राता र 3 ओटा सेता बलहरू छन् । दुईओटा बलहरू एकपछि अर्को पुनः नराखी उक्त भोलाबाट फिकिएका छन् ।

In a bag, there are 2 red and 3 white balls having same shape and size. Two balls are drawn randomly one after another without replacement from the bag.

(a) अनाश्रित घटनामा सम्भाव्यताको गुणन सिद्धान्त लेख्नुहोस् ।

Write the multiplication law of probability in independent events.

(b) सबै सम्भावित परिणामहरूको सम्भाव्यतालाई वृक्ष चित्रमा देखाउनुहोस् ।

Show the probability of all the possible outcomes in a tree diagram.

(c) दुवै बलहरू रातो आउने सम्भाव्यता पत्ता लगाउनुहोस् ।

Find the probability of getting both balls are red.

(d) दुवै बलहरू एउटै रङका पर्ने र दुवै बलहरू फरक रङका पर्ने सम्भाव्यताबिच तुलना गर्नुहोस् ।

Compare the probability of getting both balls of same color and the different color.
