What is switching? Explain different switching technology.

What are the different types of error detection codes? Write about Hamming code.

Write the difference between CSMA/CD and CSMA/CA.

Differentiate error detection from error correction. Explain with CRC (Cyclic Redundancy Check) method for error detection with suitable example.

Define point to point protocol. Explain the PPP frame formats.

Write short notes on :

a) FDDI

b) IPSEC

Explain how slotted Aloha improves over pure Aloha. What do you mean by multiple access protocol? Explain channelization protocol in detail.

Write the function of the network layer. Write about the TCP header.

What is IP routing? Find the total number of usable hosts, the network ID, and broadcast ID of each subnet from the given IP 192.100.78.23/26

Suppose you are given an IP address 193.169.0.0, perform subnetting and divide the given network in 5 subnets. What is the new subnet mask? Calculate broadcast, network address, range of IP address that can be assigned to the host in each subnet.

Explain the importance of routing algorithm. Explain Distance Vector Routing algorithm with example and compare it with link state routing.

Explain the various congestion control approaches.

What are the differents security measures used in computer networking?

Explain the working mechanism of Digital Signature algorithm with suitable diagram.
