Object-oriented Programming, Setting up java environment and IDE in Local machine, Sample java programs, Compiling and running java program, Command-line arguments, Scanner class for input, Handling common errors

Unit 2:Basic of Java Programming

Writing comments and its type, Java token: keywords, identifier, literal, operators and separators, Data types: primitive and user-defined data type, Variable declaration and assignment, expression, Control statements: selection statements, looping statement and jump statements, Arrays: single dimension array, multi-dimensional array (Rectangular and Jagged), Type conversion and casting, Garbage Collection, String: creation, concatenation, comparison, modification, changing case and searching, String Buffer Class

Unit 3:Class and Objects in Java

Defining class, adding method to class, creating object and calling function/method, Abstraction and Encapsulation, Constructors and its type (Default, Parameterized and copy), 'this' keyword, Static fields and methods, More on method: passing by value, by reference, Recursion, Nested and inner class, Variable length arguments, Package: Defining and importing package

Unit 4:Inheritance and Polymorphism

Inheritance basics, Inheritance Type (Single-level, Multi-level, Multiple and Hierarchical), 'super' keyword, Polymorphism: Method overloading and method overriding, Object class, 'final' keyword, Abstract class and methods, Access control (private, protected, default and public), Interface: Defining, implementing and applying interface.

Unit 5:Exception Handling and Multithreading

Basic exceptions, proper use of exceptions, Exception hierarchy, Exception handling keywords: try, catch, throw, throws and finally, Java's built-in exceptions, User-defined exceptions, Multithreading basics, Thread class and Runnable interface, Thread priorities, Thread synchronization and inter-thread communication

Unit 6:File Handling in Java

Console and File I/O, Reading and writing file using byte stream, Reading and writing file using character stream, Serialization and deserialization, RandomAccessFile class

Unit 7:Collections and Generics

Wrapper class and associate methods, Java collection framework, List, Set, Map interface, ArrayList, LinkedList, HashSet, HashMap and TreeSet Class, Accessing collections: Iterator/comparator, Defining generic class and methods, Using wildcard arguments, Generic interface and generic hierarchy, Some generic restrictions

Unit 8:Advanced OOP Concepts in Java

Design pattern: singleton, factory, observer pattern, Lambda expression, Stream API: Introduction, Optional class, Method references
